Microsoft just announced a slew of devices at its Surface Event. The Surface devices are known for portability, minimalist design, and powerful performance. Finally, the company decided to add a USB-C port to make it convenient for the consumers. Some of the surface devices announced at the event are Surface Laptop 3, Surface Earbuds, Surface Pro 7, and Surface Pro X. In addition, they have also announced foldable devices, Surface Neo and Surface Duo.
Microsoft Surface Laptop 3
Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 comes in two screen sizes – 13.5-inch and 15-inch. The 13.5-inch model is powered by the 10th Generation Intel Core processor, while the 15-inch model comes with the new AMD Ryzen Surface Edition with an extra built-in graphics core. Surface Laptop 3 comes with a larger trackpad, OmniSonic speakers, a removable hard drive, and both USB-A and USB-C ports. The company claims it will charge the battery up to 80% in less than an hour, with up to 11.5 hours of battery life. The 13.5-inch model is starting at $999, while the 15-inch model starts at $1,199 and available for preorder.
Microsoft Surface Earbuds
Microsoft Surface Earbuds joins the audio line-up of products with last year’s Surface Headphones. However, the company did not announce a successor to Surface Headphones. According to the company, they looked at ergonomics and decided on this unique design. The circular surface supports touch controls, voice controls, open Spotify, and activate your digital assistant. Surface Earbuds has the edge over other earbuds as it has complete integration with Office 365. It comes with real-time translation and live captions in Office apps and move through slides with just a swipe on the touch surface. For crystal clear voice quality, two microphones are integrated into each earbud. The device can play up to 8 hours while the carrying case offers two refills. Microsoft Surface Earbuds will be available later this year and priced at $249.
Microsoft Surface Pro 7
The company finally added the USB-C to Surface Pro line-up. The Surface Pro 7, 2-in-1 PC comes with 10th Generation Intel Processor and has a battery backup of about 10.5 hours. The device can be customized with dual-core i3 or quad-core i5 and i7 processors. The 12.3-inch, 2-in-1 PC comes with 128GB of storage and 4GB of RAM and can be configured up to 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM. Microsoft Surface Pro 7 will be available from October 22nd and starts at $749.
Microsoft Surface Pro X
Microsoft’s new ARM-based device, Surface Pro X is a powerful device with thin bezels and custom-built chip. The company partnered with Qualcomm to build a custom variant of the Snapdragon 8cx processor and will be called Surface SQ1. The device comes with Adreno 685 GPU and can be configured up to 16 RAM and 512GB of storage. The battery backup is about 13 hours and supports fast charging. Microsoft Surface Pro X will be available from November 5th and starts at $999.
